So Katie went to Rapid City, SD...

Katie was bred by Deb Piercefield of Olde World and is owned by Priscilla Zeller, Laura Weber and me. Her Sire is Ch. Finnsky Digitalis, bred by Thea and Rolf Dahlblom of Finnsky Kennels in Finland. Her Dam is Ch. Lairdoglen Little Giant, bred by Laura and litter mate to my Robby. Frye, is owned by Deb Piercefield.

Katie's first ring experience was at the AKC Sanctioned B Match associated with the St. Croix Valley Kennel Club, held at the Lake Elmo Fairgounds. She was handled by Laura to a Best In Show from the 6-9 Month Class. The total entry was over 50 dogs.

For fun and socialization, my friend Gary Galloway, took Katie to the Fall, International Kennel Club shows in Hutchinson, MN. Although he had never handled her or a Skye before, Katie and Gary went Reserve Best in Show puppy over a decent sized entry.

Katie had earned a few points in the Spring of 2006, but then traveled West in October to the Rapid City Kennel Club shows in South Dakota where she earned THREE! MAJORS. One day she was Winners Bitch and Best of Winners, the next day she went Best of Breed, and the last day Winners Bitch--all from the 12-18 Month Class! Needless to say, we ALL were quite happy for our little girl.

Kate is a lovely little Skye with pretty proportions, solid topline, strong rear, straight front and exquisite tail-set and tail carriage. Her ear set is quite desirable and her ring presence and outline is absolutely charming. She carries an easily cared for under coat and a top coat that is correct in texture and of stunning color.

She will be a fun Skye to watch in the future!

Katie gets a Group 4 (Judge Robert Moore) and a Group 2 Placement (Judge Dr. Harry Smith) at the Minnesota River Valley Kennel Club Show, held in Eagan, MN! Way to go Kate! Picture shown on right.

Katie wins the Terrier Group at the Minneapolis AKC Sanctioned B Match held at TCOTC!

NEW CHAMPION! Katie completed her AKC Championship at the Key City Kennel Club in St. Peter, MN on May 26, 2007 by going Winners Bitch and Best of Winners/Opposite Sex (Judge Elaine Mathis.) Pictures to come...

Katie is shown by Laura at the Anoka/Cambridge cluster and receives a Group 4 Placement from Judge Pat Trotter! Picture to come.

UPDATE!!!

Katie WINS THE TERRIER GROUP at the Duluth KC show in Minnesota. She was entered just the one day. I made the day trip with the help of my Father and Laura checking up on the puppies.

The judge was Dr. Lee Reasin. She showed flawlessly in Best in Show, I was very happy with her performance and comments from the judges. Photos to come!
